Nautica Vintage

This is Nautica’s third season bringing back vintage styles. We’ve gone to great lengths to make sure the fits and quality were as good as our 80’s and 90’s classics. Our clothes are some the best on the market because we used thick and heavy fabric just like in the good old days.

Nautica Yacht Club

At Nautica, sailing is in our brand DNA since 1983 so we revisited the archives and used traditional sailing elements to create our latest vintage collection: Nautica Yacht Club.

Seafarers are put through some exhausting environments. They’re exposure to sun and salt water, so we’re launching a multipiece sailing flag jacket to wear all year round.

The Nautical Flag

In the days before 2-way radio, it was an easy and safe way to get messages between boats at anchor to people on shore. Boats also used flags called burgees to relay messages to each other at sea. In a nod to its history, Nautica Yacht Club uses nylon piece patterns taken from the language of burgees on our swims, tees and jackets.

To keep cool, our tees have a relaxed fit, drop shoulders and lightweight 100% cotton fabric and they come with super luxe embroidered crests. Available in solids or stripe. Why stripes? Makes it easier to spot someone if they fall overboard.

The Yachting Heraldry

Yacht clubs used to be very exclusive institutions and had a set of codes. Similar to a family’s coat of arms, our embroideries are a nod to Yachting Heraldry and ours are done with the highest standards: luxurious and dense stitching that will last against the harshest conditions.
